Main campus has improved remarkably in the past 20 years

I wrote this letter to the reporter who did that story and tweeted her to do more research before she reports a story so she won't look so amateurish

I suggest before you start denigrating Universities and people for your soap box conservative cause I'm all about protecting the public against wasteful spending as the next person. But I find your article to be self serving at least or fallacious in denigrating the University of Houston and Dr Khator to do your hatchet job . I see you did not bother to mention the ARWU or the World University Rankings which are some of the most respected college rankings for the entire world. I wonder why? Didn't fit the picture to make the points you wanted to make. Education ministers from around take their methodology quite seriously the ARWU and fine tune their nations universities accord to their methodology. Just so you know the University of Houston ranks in the top 200-300 Universities in the world public or private and the top 79-101 in the USA. World University rankings it's 301-350. Your are nothing but muckraker vis-a-vis early 1900's and a hack reporter out to make a name for herself. I suggest you do more research before you start reporting things to the public or your going to find your credibility is going to be severely impacted and impaired. Also do you know Dr Khator has raised over half a billion dollars for the University since she came to UH , I say the University of Houston is getting a handsome return on their investment. The University has 1.49 billion budget has 3.8 billion plus economic impact on the city of Houston. She is worth every penny she gets paid, more than I can say for you.

Well, from a logic standpoint with a little humor.........you can't be a "diploma mill" and a "dropout factory" at the same time. One of those can't be correct.

Ironically, even folks from a diploma mill OR a dropout factory can see that. :)

I didnt even have to read that article to know it was SHITE. Khator is an amazing president. SHe was incredible at USF and I knew she would be a success. Within the short time she has been there she moved houston from being outside of the top 200, to being an Tier 1 Research insitute and has brought in more donations then anybody in the past 20 years.

She deserves every penny.

She talks about USF still in her blog and always tweets when UH plays USF, she really has spirit and works her butt off. She tweeted the other day a medial school for UH might not be too far off.

We are just fortunate that this intrepid reporter missed our child slavery ring and cocaine operation we run out of the UC.

As a recent Houston transfer, I can imagine a chauffeur is probably a must for the highest-ranking employees across many industries. Waste of time for important people to spend that much time behind a wheel of a car IMO.
