Sounds like he was old school and it doesn't pay to be an old school coach anymore. Todd Graham is probably a bit worried.

I doubt it....ASU has been longing for the next Frank Kush for quite some time. The Toad fills that niche nicely.

As a current Champaign resident and sometimes/some sports Illini fan... I feel like i ought to share more.

The question is how long before the athletic director, Mike Thomas gets axed. Besides Beckman, he also hired Groce (mens BB) and Bollant (women's BB). Groce brought back a player he had dismissed from the team only to dismiss him again after criminal trouble on an international trip ( http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/col...story.html)

and Bollant was sued by a number of former players for discrimination (http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/col...story.html) although he was found to be not at fault.

Sad situation. Interesting that it came to light because of a former player that decided to post something on Twitter. I can almost guarantee that this goes on a lot more than we think, players are just afraid to speak up.
