Yes. And you had Heineke. I saw him play against the 'boys and he did very, very well. He's gone though and I'll wager that the new guy isn't as good as him.
Another thing. The reason you did well, 6 and 6 was because of him. Same thing with Ootsa they had Soza. Ootsa was saying last year would produce the same results as when he was there. I told them no and they didn't believe me. I was right.

Ollie, You are right about replacing an NFL talent QB, its going to be painful however we had something that got us going along with passing game the last season, The running game even though not as much we know we can reply on our RB's when we need to and may be we can compensate TH with Bentley and the RB's. I am not as optimistic as Aggie is about winning going away but i think we will win no matter what and the gap would be anywhere from a FG to 2 TD's.

Good luck. Even though I'm bringing some common sense and not homerism to the post it doesn't mean that I don't want you to win. I do, firstly because a loss to them would make cusa look bad and another because I root for all cusa teams against OOC regardless of what I think about homers (not throwing stones here). But I see where they're coming from as I'm a homer too. I was just telling this guy who roots for Alabama that we (UTEP) would hand their SEC brethren their first loss at Arkansas. He just smiled he probably thought I was nuts or drunk which I'm neither. LOL

Good luck with Arkansas. I hope you win but i don't see the miners eeking out the win considering how bad the SEC and ACC refs are especially on their home Turf.

RE: ODU - EASTERN MICHIGAN
I will add my 2 cents in here regarding this game. First, I am most definitely a homer, but I also like to instill a good amount of logic to my posts. EMU is severly depleated due to pre-season injuries. It has recently been reported that DT Pat O'Connnor (Nagurski Award watch list), DB Brandon Bossard, and WR Kezio Snelling, will all miss significant time, with O'Connor being out for the season (shoulder.) There have been many other injuries reported from Ypsilanti, but I'm not sure of the extent yet. The loss of O'Connor is a big one for the Eagles.
Regarding the qb position for ODU; I understand a wait-and-see attutude from others in the conference, and even our own fans. That just makes sense. Heinicke will be very tough to replace, and although Shuler Bentley put up eye-popping numbees in HS, he has yet to see a bit of college game action. I hope he will settle in quickly behind a very stout OL, and with a very solid rb corps. We shall see.
To me the biggest difference in ODU this season (aside from qb) will be it's defensive line, which apears will be able to wratchet up the pressure an opposing qb's. That should also pay many dividends downfield. Although a young team overall (fourth youngest in FBS,) the Monarchs will be much superior at many positions due to redshirting a solid crop of FBS recruits replacing FCS recruits, and JUCO's. It will be interesting to see how this team gels by the time they travel to Huntington for their first CUSA game. Even if ODU struggles somewhat this season (I have predicted 7 wins, as being a homer, I don't believe they will,) they should be well positioned going forward.

RE: ODU - EASTERN MICHIGAN
This is ODU's second season playing an FBS schedule and they don't have their superstud QB, and it's on the road. I think they'll win, I certainly hope they'll win, but it'd be foolhardy for me to say I expect them to win.
