Ok. So let's say you are right... then why do you care about them? Honest question. We are basically in game week for football. Why continuously say the same thing over and over and over again. Are you attempting to make our fans look like they don't care about football? Is that your agenda? The lines on Pastner are well drawn- so why not let it go until we at least get closer to basketball season? Or at the very least until football season can have a chance to get started. isn't it ok to that we as fans can enjoy these next few weeks without all the constant arguing? I though when Stammers FINALLY got banned things would improve, but some seem intent on keeping the tired narrative going.

Austin was willing to dunk anything close to the rim, whereas Tarik was content trying a layup which caused him to miss more bunnies than even Rodney Carney (he would dunk anything, but couldn't make a driving layup). Austin was more reliable at the FT line and Mid range shot. Tarik was more physically imposing and had more upside in terms of college and NBA, but that is about the only advantage he had.

Even with all those missed bunnies as you say he shot 69% from the floor and 59% from the line his sophomore year.

Austin shot 49.7% from the floor and 61% from the FT line last year.

Austin scored 13.3 points a game to Tariks 10.7 points a game, but Austin shot the ball 5.3 more times a game than Tarik. That averages to about .5 points a shot for the 2.6 more points he scored, not a very good stat.

I know I'll get blasted by whoever thinks they're the arbitrator of all things Tiger related, but I never thought that Nichols was all that great. Pretty good, maybe, but great, never.
That said, he's gone now, so I'm not concerned about it. At least I won't have to worry about him getting his weak ankles broken during the heat of this season.
