Paul Perschon and Nate Jeppesen are still fighting for LG. Elijah Nkansah is the favorite at RT, but former walk-on Brant Weiss is pushing.

I had not heard Carter mentioned as a Center previously. Had mostly heard of him at guard or even tackle right after his addition

Played Center, OG, and DT in HS. Speaks to his athletic ability.

I didnt realize how important the Center was in our offense until i rewatched the Godaddy Bowl recently. Mancz was all over the place. Campbell probably wanted on of his better players at that spot. Carter also appears to be the shortest lineman in the mix, so Tackle didnt seem likely.

I would assume Ely being named captain would also be the number 1 QB. When do we see the final depth chart, Monday?

Captains were selected by vote of the players, so that doesn't necessarily translate into who starts.

Carter is 6'4". Everybody else is like 6'5" to 6'8".
