UVa game
Just got my UVa tix in the mail, and I'm in the upper deck. Called the ticket office to inquire why, and was told that W&M was given NO TICKETS in the lower bowl this year. Can anyone else confirm this by looking at their own tickets? If this is correct, its bullsh1t. Perhaps our C'ville brethren didn't like getting beat 6 years ago?

RE: UVa game
I think UVA started this last year, maybe the year prior.

Appears to be a trend everywhere.

W&M now only supplies visiting schools Section A - and if they need more, they will offer Section B. We used to start the visitors with Section C, much closer to mid field.

UR splits the visiting teams fans, probably the worst practice I've seen.

Still, with UVA, it stinks. They can't even fill the lower bowl with their own fans.

Tribe fans can just move down to the lower bowl when we're spanking them in the 4th quarter.

RE: UVa game
Is that the only section available through WMathletics? I might buy mine through stubhub or something, but will want to sit near the other tribe fans.

Based on the level of enthusiasm I've detected about this upcoming season (I'm also a UVa alum), you may be able to sit wherever you want ...

RE: UVa game
If you listen to the local sportscasters talk about the prospects for UVa football this year, it sure looks like this is lining up very much like 2009, with a head coach fighting for his job. Very tough early schedule for the Cavaliers, and they are very likely to ignore us completely. I keep hearing that UVa should be lucky to win 2 games out of their first 6, and that's assuming a win over W&M, of course.

I am very much looking forward to this game. I smell blood in the water.

UVa game
This game with us is likely the only game UVA has a decent chance to win. After the gutty little Bruins steal their lunch in Pasadena they should be ripe for a spanking.

We always seem to suffer a significant injury or two during FBS games. Let's hope we get home in one piece with a big W.

RE: UVa game
Just heard some info that W&M actually DOES have some tickets in the lower bowl, but they've reserved those for people who buy the package bus deal from Williamsburg. If true, the WM AD just joined my sh1t list. I'm a long time season ticket holder that bought my tickets through them, was told the upper bowl was the only tickets W&M got, and I'm going to be looking down on a Tribe section in the lower bowl???

I would blame those in the ticket office for that bungling. That might also be for the students? Would love to know what section that is...for those who have yet to purchase. Anyone hear anything?

RE: UVa game
Alumni Association was able to buy a block of tickets in the lower level and just sent out an email to buy them online for $18 with no strings attached. Spencer Milne came by the Quarterback Club Monday and announced that the Alumni Association had been able to get a better deal than him. He also said that the Ticket office will repurchase the tickets they sold for $40 in the upper level if you return the ticket to them. Great effort to fix this issue by Spencer!!

I emailed a few weeks ago and they said the season tickets would be going out this week. Not sure about away game tickets.

So looking through e-mail and I'm not seeing info - can you just buy tickets from the alumni association, or just the $105 bus deal?

RE: UVa game
I can confirm what others have said above. Ticket office will buy back your incredibly expensive seats in the upper bowl, and you can buy lower level seats via the Alumni House for $18 without the rest of the tailgate costs. Not sure why this was all so badly bungled, but they're doing the right thing to correct it now.

There should be no reason to be in the upper bowl for this game. No way is Scott Stadium anywhere close to full.

RE: UVa game
For others that are looking for how to do this (I had to call all around to get the information):

Go to http://www.wmalumni.com/events/event_det...70&group=#

On there, there's a register button.

There's then a convoluted set of steps where you have to enter a name for each person and check at the top that you want a ticket.
