I remember reading this when the article came out. Harper is an Arkansas State grad who writes about us for both Sportling Life and SBNation. He doesn't hold any punches when it comes to a certain Northwest Arkansas School.

RE: Plain talk about not hiring an Arkansas coach
That's the way it is unfortunately. Any coaching opening at Little Rock or Arkansas State, present or former hog coaches are immediately mentioned as prime candidates for the jobs. But any opening at Fayetteville, no former or present Little Rock or ASU coach would ever be considered for the opening. We have the best women's coach in the state, a Hall of Fame coach, and they have an opening and they hire a former hog men's walk-on as their women's coach. Don't even know they even talked to or considered Joe Foley. I did make a mistake earlier in this post, the hogs did hire a former Trojan coach. Jimmy Dykes was an assistant here under Mike Newell for only one year I believe.
