Baseball not major? Basketball and baseball produce the only true NCAA D1 champions. Polls and sports writers don't have their mayonaise/mustard drenched hands from all the free sandwiches at football games on basketball or baseball. Thank goodness they don't.

Time to go home to Mr. Drummond, Gary Coleman

The rest of C-USA hates Memphis as it is, you're not helping any genius :chair:

Look on the brightside...at least BostonTiger hasn't found his way over here. Can we ban some of our own posters from the CUSA board...hell, I'd like to ban him from mt.org, too!

TIGERBANDIT Wrote:Tiger hoops is the only team in C-USA with a legitimate chance at winning a national championship in the two major college sports this year (i.e. college basketball and football). Sorry baseball, you are not major.

And before anyone talks about winning one game or two in the NCAA tourney, we all know that that is the best that any of you other guys could ever do. Getting to the sweet 16 is like winning a national title for schools such as UAB, Tulsa, UTEP, etc.

At Memphis we have a commitment to excellence and winning it all.

Something you'all will never no.

So, if you all ever want to be close to a "REAL" national title, I would suggest that you'all get on board, because this is as close as any of you will ever get. IN YOUR LIFE!
Baseball is plenty major...and Tulane AND Rice both can win it.

They're making a video game out of it, it can't be that unpopular...

Rice/Texas A&M grab 22,000 fans.

Actually several CUSA teams should be in the mix for several National Championships. SMU mens and women's golf. Tulsa and SMU in soccer. Tulane and Rice in baseball. SMU women's swimming. Hopefully, Memphis will make a run in March after it gets over its embarrassing loss to SMU.
