Personally, I do not care if they stay until the end. If they are there for the start of the game, then if we are winning or losing by 35 they ought to take off. If it is good, winning football, against opponents that matter, the students who come will stay.

Alabama also loves to sing rammer jammer after the game.. many students stay for games longer when tickets are harder to come by.. you wait 2 years to get tickets.. you will stay most if not all of the game...

As the OP mentioned, even Alabama had (and presumably still has) their own issues with poor student attendance and with keeping students/everyone staying to the end of games. The scales aren't all the same, but it's not a UC problem - it's widespread.

Schools like Ohio State and LSU - where huge turnouts are nearly guaranteed - are an anomaly in this day and age. Remember this great promotion from Michigan last year?

Even students leave some of those games. The difference being the good teams on their schedule far outweigh the bad. With our current schedule I don't think an undefeated run will keep students at the game unless there is a close game.

In the Big East we had far more exciting games on the schedule.. Louisville, Wes Virginia, Pitt, Rutgers and Syracuse. Heck, for awhile even USF was a pretty good draw as we seemed to always play them when they were ranked.

Some of these teams were a draw because they were also fairly local( Cuse and Pitt are not that far away.) and many students may know people who chose to go to those schools. Playing Temple, ECU, Houston, and Memphis does not scream exciting.

I've heard that Under Armour really wants to be highly involved with the UC student sections, which is more than we could ever say about Adidas. I honestly have no idea but I'm very curious.
