How difficult is it to get band and academic scholarship to UM?
My daughter is a senior, and wants to try and get a good band scholarship. She wants to major in SLP, and minor in music education
We already know that UM has a top SLP program; what about band?
And.....will she be able to go in state rather than out of state? We live here in Grapevine,TX. I graduated from Memphis, as well as multiple family members. Daughter was born in Germantown.

Thanks. She will be applying there, along with UT-Austin, LSU, UT-Dallas, Purdue.
I want her to stay in town, but UTD does not have a music program. Univ of North Texas does, and is supposed to be good.

UNT offers a lot of scholarships based on grades. It has a good arts school, not as good as Memphis, but pretty good.
