5 biggest games for LU FB in 2015
The schedule:
Sep 5, Delaware State
Sep 12, West Virginia
Sep 19, Montana
Sep 26, Southern Illinois
Oct 3, Georgia State
Oct 10, Gardner-Webb*
Oct 17, Monmouth*
Oct 24, Kennesaw State*
Nov 7, Presbyterian*
Nov 14, Charleston Southern*
Nov 19, Coastal Carolina*

My 5 biggest games and why:
1) WVU - if LU was to upset WVU, it would be the signature win of the program
2) Coastal - good match up game, winner usually wins BSC
3) Montana - LU needs another strong OOC FCS win, here's their chance at home
4) GaSo - LU win gives more credibility to LU being FBS ready
5) Southern IL - LU gives strong credence to possible at-large bid, on the road

That's a solid list. I'd list Georgia State ahead of Montana just for being "FBS."

There could be an argument for Charleston Southern instead of Southern Illinois but I'm okay with SIU at 5th.

I first put my list down, reviewed it, then changed the order. The GaSt game intriques me. If they win some games, the LU game will have much more interest. Odds are they are going to win eventually and they will be better. They came close last year only to falter.

For the record, GaSo generally refers to the other Sun Belt team in Georgia.

While an upset of WVU would be epic, a loss really doesn't impact the season or program much. As a result, I'd drop that game from my Top 5 and add in Chuck South.

Ooops, that was a typo. Thanks for the correction. That should have been GaSt rather than GaSo.

Anybody want to revise their top 5 Liberty games after Montana just beat NDSU. Here's my revised list:

1) WVU because the are P5 FBS
2) Montana - with win against NDSU, where will they be on the next ranking
3) Coastal - Montana is likely moving past Coastal with a top 5 ranking
4) GaSo - although winless FBS, still FBS
5) Southern IL - plays in a strong conference, a road win for LU would do wonders

Montana had a huge win that puts a target on their back but I would still rather beat Coastal than Montana.

And BTW you used GaSo again 03-wink

Always best to beat your rival, in the last game of the year, that likely will decide the BSC conference and a automatic bid to the playoffs. The Montana win yesterday, with a new coach playing the #1 FCS team, was huge for Montana. It just amped up the LU game on Sept. 19th in a major way.

As of Sept 5 at 7:45am eastern time, my revised top 5 game pics

1) WVU because the are P5 FBS
2) Montana - with win against NDSU
3) Coastal - Montana is likely moving past Coastal with a top 5 ranking
4) Southern IL - plays in a strong conference, a road win for LU would do wonders
5) GaSo - if you lose to 1st year FBS Charlotte, at home, you're still struggling and deserve to have better FCS teams ranked ahead of you

With Montana losing yesterday and Coastal squeaking by Furman, I do agree that Coastal's ahead by a hair. This is a fluid list that changes from week to week.
