I'd be curious to see the breakdown of these young people by gender. I am willing to bet that more females fall into this "not entirely hetero" category than males. Seems like young girls today are really into making out with each other.

Or that people who once were afraid of even thinking about the realities of their own sexuality are now becoming more open to it? This chart can mean so many different things that it's utterly useless to anyone who doesn't have some sort of agenda they want to force it to fit. It could be used to show the evidence of phytoestrogens leaching from plastics, or GMO's, increased intelligence, or alien influence on humans.

In this chart, is sexuality who you're attracted to or who you would actually have sex with? They can be two exclusive things that often get muddied.

You're right though pertaining to the chart. It's very ambiguous and is most likely heavily influenced by an openness today that didn't exist years ago. Sexual attraction is chemistry. But men and woman can tell and appreciate a well put together person of the same sex. Perhaps much of it is empathy based where a few people can understand why someone of the same sex is attractive.
