They have earned respect. If they win the MWC and have as good a record as the AAC champ then they will likely get the spot. However, a 11-2 AAC champ probably has a shot against a 10-3 Boise.

Boise has created this niche for themselves...beating big boy schools on the national stage over time. They have earned the national cache they are enjoying.

I seriously doubt a 10-3 Boise team would get in over an 11-2 AAC team.

If they lose to Washington on opening day they will drop out.

I think the teams would be as highly ranked as Cincy v. Pitt in 2009

I think it would take 4 losses for BSU to completely drop out of the access bowl discussion.

With 3 losses they'd be talked about as a contender, but wouldn't be selected for the access slot.

With 0,1 or 2 losses they could get in.

I was talking about the AP Poll.
Any team in the MWC or AAC that goes 11-2 or better will be in the running for the Access Bowl
10-3 becomes iffy depending on what the other champions do. Remember you MUST win your conference championship otherwise you could be 12-1 and be left out

Alabama plays Wisconsin on the 5th not 6th

Edit: Actually a lot of the dates for games are wrong.

Let's not forget... The access bowl spot is determined by a poll that will not have its first iteration for almost 2 months.
