I do agree that students aren't the problem, but more warm bodies in the stands is never a bad thing. And besides, maybe all these kids starting to have incentive to go will convince the family to come up for a weekend game... Murray St anyone?

Not sure how else athletics can stir up the alums though.


Hopefully the students take it to the next level and help improve the game day experience. We all know that an extra 1000 people in the stands would have really made a fun difference for a few of the games the past few years.

Also - if you start having more students go to games and enjoy the game day experience while they are on campus. They are more likely to return to HS as an alumni a few years down the road. I know this is the "long game" but we need to build piece by piece

They are as much of a problem as the community though, definitely need bigger numbers from the students too. Hopefully this promotion helps.

I called the ticket office this morning. The gentleman assured be plenty of walk up tickets would be available. According to him they stop selling via Ticketmaster 24hrs before kickoff to avoid having too many will call pick ups. Hopefully that won't deter people from attending.

Can I walk up and buy season tix?
