It was about $35 or so and he wanted 50.

Down in Peru, $5 got me out of a ticket.

Yes because that college degree keeps teachers from molesting children.

Oh wait......

The system has to work 100 percent of the time or it isn't a good system

Conservative logic.

No, but you're inferring that a college degree somehow is sufficient proof of character or moral fiber. That's what people are questioning.

Not sufficient proof of character or moral fiber but it's better than not having a degree.

If someone wanted to use the badge as a cover for criminal activities, all they need now is a high school level education. It's not likely that someone would go through the trouble of earning a degree just to hide behind a badge and do misdeeds.

Why do you think teachers need a degree and state certification and cops need only a clean record and a high school education? Aren't their jobs at least equally important?

It's just as likely they will do that as it is that they will go through all the trouble of obtaining a teaching degree then molest children or engage in other deviant behavior like happens far too many times with educators.

It's far easier to become a cop and engage in criminal behavior than it is to become a teacher and engage in molestation.

Proof?

Hell, you can be wanted on child sex abuse charges and get hired in the education field.

But you still need a degree.

To be a cop all you have to do is do a few push ups and run a couple of laps.

And pass a fairly significant background check.

Something that evidently isn't required in all educational hires as evidenced by the link above.
