I'm no expert.
I quit going out that way.
Just seems to be the trend.

Nah, more popular than ever.

The only constants:

Back in the day:

Gay sex hangout in the wooded trails of Overton Park.

Now:

A family place with kid park, dog park and runners.

Then:

Willie B. exploring the wooded trails of Overton Park:

Now:

Doesn't go there.

Hmmm............

RE: Overton Park
Quite the insinuation you make there.
Wonder why you'd think that...

It's usually the one that makes fun that has the most to hide in my experience.

LOL @ the unwashed masses

This is the exception, not the norm for those that use and enjoy the park regularly.

Wonderful green space in the middle of the city. And dat Rainbow Lake playground doe. My 4 yr old loves it.

MT15 despises Memphis and avoids it at all costs. May sneak over the border for games. I dunno.

I go to the games, that's about it. Its not just Memphis, I try to avoid any metro area at all cost. Too many damn people.

My backyard backs up to about 20 -25 acres of woods and we have a 2 or 3 acre pond in the neighborhood that's great for afternoon fishing. Therefore, I don't have a need for a green space full of freaks and weirdos. Looking at a house on 4 acres with a pool and a 1 acre stocked pond. Then, I don't even have to share a fishing pond with anyone else.

I don't have need for the sticks full of kissing cousins and butt f*******.

love playing there with a few irons or sometimes friends and I will just take a 7 iron and make friendly wagers. It's hardly ever busy, short, and makes the game fun.

Cracks me up when people I know make comments like "oh you play at overton?" I have seen their golf swings and played with most. It doesn't matter if they were playing at pebble beach or a cow pasture - the results are similar.

It is a fun course for the exact reasons you stated. I need to make it back out there.

I used to do that in college. I'd take an 8 iron and a putter and 2 golf balls. Great time trying to make trick shots. VERY walkable course. The trail between the second green and the third tee was always kind of sketchy.

I miss playing there first thing in the morning before the starter even arrived.

Shhh. Guys are touchy about the size of their brain stems.

Edit: I might have to delete that comment when I get a chance to consider all the ramifications.
off to work though.
