RE: EMU Media day Presser
Not really, we may end up another 2-10 this year but see some true frosh and redshirts get significant playing time. We know we're still in the rebuilding mode here need to get talent in and change the attitude as well. Yes losing Pat is a huge blow but the entire team will need to step it up a notch or two. CC and staff do not coaching quitting or excuses, they and this team looks like they have put in alot of effort and work. Now they need to go and excute and avoid the past mistakes of EMU football, turnovers, missed assignments, 8th grade tackling and quitting at half time.

Most experts were predicting 2-10 WITH O'Connor. All bets are off now...could go 0-fer.

Experts are what they are, we still need to strap em on and play the game the way it should be played. I'm sure Pat will remind his teammates of that.

Wonder if Bob has had a course in statistics or probability?

Did any school go 0-fer 12 last season? 0-for the season is fairly rare in college FB. I see no teams which lost every game last season:

http://espn.go.com/college-football/stan...ontype/reg

If a team is an underdog in 12 games that doesn't mean that it is likely they will lose all 12. Quite the contrary.

If a team is 2:1 underdog in just 3 games, for example, the chances of losing all three is approximately 30%. (2/3 x 2/3 x 2/3) = 8/27 or 30%.

Isn't that a good approximation of our games vs. ODU, Wyoming, and Army? (30% of losing all 3. 70% chance of winning 1, 2 or 3, but the chances of winning all 3 is actually pretty slim, about 4%, but the chances of either 1 or 2 wins is like 66%).

RE: EMU Media day Presser
Just like men's basketball this year I am looking forward to attending as many home football games as we can. Not sure what to expect but there to support the team, see old friends be back on campus.

To me that's what being a fan is about. My degree from EMU has allowed me to make a decent living and enjoy my professional life.

I support the school and the teams in what way I can. Proud of how we do things as evidenced by the top overall MAC awards our teams recently have won.

Ditto also.

I support our revenue sports in 'good times and bad' (when times are 'good' I'm more engaged; when times are 'bad' I'm less engaged) and will until 'death do I part' from this earth.

Ditto Ditto - losing sucks, but the ultimate turn-around will be the sweetest ever.

Noting and respecting privacy not withstanding has there been any update on Pat's situation and/or Creel's?

I thought maybe M Live was going to do a story but maybe not.

I think now is a good time to revisit everyone's preseason predictions.
