He is now one of only five golfers in history to win the NCAA's and the USGA amateur in the same year. Others were Mickelson, Woods, Nicholas and Palmer.

SMU golfers have won the USGA amateur 3 times in the last 9 years. Pretty amazing.

Bryson is an interesting story. For some of you that may not know, he plays all his irons at one length (36.5) inches bucking traditional standards. This allows him to have the same swing plane throughout the bag for consistency. It will be interesting to see if any of the major club manufacturers introduce a set like this in the near future. I bet they do.
