They already did plus added FCS schools. FAU, FIU, MTSU, WKU, others? FCS members like UTSA and Old Dominion. ODU probably has the most potential.

Actually ODU averages 779.025 from AAC schools which would put us 3rd on your list. I doubt you could find a better geographical fit, especially for teams on the east coast.

I think Old Dominion would be a good addition to the American if we ever needed to go to 14. If all things were equal an east coast conference would be pretty fun to play in.

Army would be a much better and logical addition. UMass would be a more sensible addition than ODU, but that would suck too.

The travel-partner thing would work out nicely:

UTEP - NMSU (Aggies not officially Sun Belt yet, but it's going to happen)
UTSA - TXST
UNT - UT/ARL.
RICE - UL/LAF.
LATECH - UL/MON.
ARK ST. - UA/L.R. (both SBC)
SOU. MISS - SOU. ALA.
UAB - TROY
MTSU - WKU (both C-USA)
FAU - FIU (both C-USA)
GA.SO. - GA.ST. (both SBC)
UNCC - APP.ST.
MARSHALL - ODU (both C-USA)
