Overview
Celebrating Huskie Athletics and NIU student-athletes, the 2015 Victor E. Ball is the first event of its kind ever presented by NIU Athletics. Join fellow Huskies at an exclusive location on the grounds of beautiful Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove for an evening of entertainment, inspiration and celebration. Northern Illinois University Athletics is positioned for greatness thanks to the more than 400 student-athletes whose successes in competition, in the classroom and in the community lift the Huskies' 17 sports programs to new heights. Proceeds from the event will support and enrich the NIU student-athlete experience. Meet some of those student-athletes and hear their stories first-hand, while also mingling with NIU head coaches, distinguished alumni and administrators in what promises to be a special evening.

HUGE sponsorship offerings. Hopefully this will get some lost alums out of the wood work.

Hey! 10 minutes from my house! Whoops... $500 says "F*^k that."
Hopefully, though, there are bigger fish who will take advantage of what will probably be something pretty cool.

That is not cheap, but if the market value is $40, I believe that means $460 of that can be considered a donation.
Go big or go home.

RE: Victor E. Ball
I would love to go, but unfortunately the stock market has taken a tumble as of late and I have been forced to sell off some assets to keep afloat. One of those was my Armani tux. Another was my limo and driver. So, if Athletics will accept me at the country club in holey jeans and driving my somewhat rusty Ford Pinto, I will go....but only if they let me in for a $20 donation. Maybe I can help them by washing a few dishes of the anointed hoi polloi.

I like when prices are high, it lets me know my kind aren't welcome without creating a scene.
