UofL v. IU
Very excited to see IU on the schedule for both basketball and football. If UofL can get IU, UK and Cincy on the football schedule every year I would be very happy.

Maybe a few years ago (Pre ACC) this would have been big news, but now it's kinda..........meh...indiana sucks at most everything now
Love the travel for our fans and I would always rather play a crappy P5 like IU versus any G5 or FCS school.
FLossY Out...

Louisville has to schedule teams in states where we want recruits from.

Reports have shown that championship teams always dominate the 100 mile radius around their own campus... so dominating IU, UK and UC would be very important for UL.

The basketball series starts next year but the football series doesn't start til 2023...I kinda have a feeling those football games might not all get played. Especially if a better opponent wants to play us on one of those dates.

Here is what I would like for our out of conference games:
ACC 8-games:
Kentucky SEC annually
Rotating SEC team
Rotating Big 10 team
Rotating Big 12 team
Notre Dame
ACC 9-games:
Kentucky SEC annually
Rotating SEC team
Rotating Big 10 team
Notre Dame

I would rather play Cincy than IU. We haven't played Indiana all that much over the last decade or so & the rivalry, to me, has faded.

But IU is P5 while UC is G5. hence IU strengthens the schedule.

Kentucky is P5, do they really strengthen the schedule? Cincy would be a higher ranked team so I think they would actually strengthen the schedule more than IU, heck WKy probably would to.

This is the point. You are better off pounding an IU or Purdue or Vandy than you are grinding out a win against Houston or Cincy.

Will be glad when we finish the Marshall contract next year...no more G5 road games unless it is against a G5 like a Cincinnati or WKU in a Nashville.

If our virtually brand new OL holds up I like our chances against Auburn to pull the upset..

We have a very good chance Maize. We are being grossly under rated.

You really think the CFP committee would view a win over IU or Purdue as better than over a ranked G5? If so then why play Auburn? Lets load up with UK, IU, Kansas & Purdue. That's an awesome schedule, 4 P5's!

Certain CFP committee members (e.g. from Big Ten schools) seem to punish for FCS opponents more than they reward for ranked opponents.
