yea, the bounce was good for part of my portfolio, but I wanted to dump the VXX before close around 27. Oh well, try again tomorrow.

Oil up huge today.

That's good news for me; I'll take it.

Gas is down but still in good shape.

I'll be happy to see $50+ but I'll have to wait till the first quarter of next year I'm afraid.

DOW finished up 369 with a late rally.

Where is Pat Robertson? Since the two day reduction was due to Planned Parenthood, this latest recovery must be due to those videos being shown as pure bunk.

I haven't pulled up my 401k since the first bad day. I've got six years before retirement so I'll remain calm.

I ususally check mine about twice a year with one of those times at year end to make sure the allocations still make sense. If there is a lot going on maybe I will check at the end of each quarter.

The point is that the stock market moves up and down all the time...it's not tied to any non-financial event.

And moves of a few hundred points either way are meaningless, so acting as if they do mean anything is stupid, particularly when they are going back and forth.

I'm fairly heavy in the market, primarily because there's nothing better. How much have I lost? Nothing, I haven't sold anything. My broker asked me if I wanted to do anything, I asked him, what would I do? If there's a trend, I'll move some money. But back and forth is not a trend.
