certain keys on laptop keyboard don't work
any ideas? the keys in particular are the o, l, and the down button

Pull 'em off and clean under 'em. There's dirt under the keys, preventing them from making good contact.

The video below shows how to remove keys from a keyboard. It works with laptops too.

tnx bit, but i think it might be a hardware issue. i went out and bought a keyboard for $10. it's a bit weird, but i'll probably manage

It can happen with old keyboards. At least the replacement was reasonably priced. 04-cheers

i tried popping a few out and clean em, but i think the proximity of the keys in question portends to another issue. at least i won't have to deal with a space bar that was mod podge'd. that was a solution to my first problem
