I loved going to Hofheinz back in the 70s and 80s. Getting 8000 at a high school game between Wheatley and Kashmere was an awesome atmosphere.

your first mission is to draw more than 500 people per game...start there. When you get to a few thousand you can start to think about the future.

Kelvin Sampson: China a "Most Incredible Trip"

Houston went 3-1 on their China tour. All four games were against stiff competition. Three games were played against the professional Qingdao Doublestars of the Chinese Basketball Association. The one remaining game was played against the Chinese Junior National Team.

"What I got out of the trip is that we have good guards," Sampson said. "And we're deep. We've got a little bit of Noah's Ark going here. We've got two of everything.

"I just like our team," he continued. "I feel very confident that we're going to have a good basketball team. This is going to be fun."
