As we're heading down the final stretch, I've gotta mention to those of you who may not be aware, UTSA's season starts on Thursday, Sept. 3rd @ 9pm central against Arizona in Tucson on the Pac-12 Network. Any countdown which doesn't reflect that is dead to us.

Roadrunners only have 6 toes. So counting is hard for UTSA fans.

It's not that, dude. It's just in surfing around, I noticed that every thread I've seen on every page uses Saturday as the countdown date, but there are actually 4 games on Thursday (UTSA's being one of them) and 3 games on Friday also.

I really don't usually pay much attention to those countdown threads because for me, when people count down every single day, it sometimes actually makes the time pass by more slowly than if something just kinda sneaks up on me.vI just like for things to be accurate and done right.vNothing against you, dude. You seem like a good guy. I totally understand though that for all but 14 football programs, the first day is indeed that Saturday.

not that i'm a bot that explains things but my guess is he's suggesting that nobody should post any countown that begins with a number higher than 6.

he's intimating that since roadrunners only have 6 toes (i had no idea but if they're like chickens maybe true) that you utsa fans count with your toes. so any countdown over 6 would be difficult.

i'm not agreeing with it. that's just my read.

fun fact: road runners can reach speeds up to 20 mph. i know because some derelict i worked with said he saw one running alongside his car. this was pre-internet days. i used my lunch hour to go to the public library and copy a page from an encyclopedia to prove him wrong. cost me 25 cents.

But that you needed a grade-school translation of my earlier post suggests that my underlying wisecrack regarding the remedial comprehension skills of UTSA posters may be a bit more on the mark than I would have thought.

Who says I needed a translation? I knew what you were trying to do from the outset. You're just not funny, and it would also help if you knew what you were talking about before you posted.
