Even if you don't trust what Ray Watts and the board of trustees is doing, I strongly encourage you to pay AT LEAST HALF of what you plan to pledge early, even before Bill Clark is re-signed. It shows them you're putting money where your mouth is and the money is there and real. Also, if the UAB administration is not working in good faith to restore football, you can be part of future legal claims against the system.

How to pay online with credit card:
Go to https://www.uab.edu/give/now/
For "Please select an area to support" select at the bottom "See all funds".
For "Select an Area" select "Athletics Scholarships and General Support"
For "Select a Fund" select "Football, Bowling, and Rifle Support Fund"
Check "This gift is a payment on an existing pledge."
If you received a "Existing pledge number *Please see your reminder" place it there (I could not find the pledge number in my reminder letter).

Enter the rest of your information as prompted. Please save the receipt (either print on paper or print to PDF or XPS file if you don't have a printer).

I set up automatic payments before I heard of this latest ridiculous requirements imposed by the goons. Will this still be as useful as the half of the pledge now?

They know the money is real. That isn't the issue.

I'm just encouraging people who haven't done something to allay even the most skeptical. Automatic payment plans is something that any accountant loves (because people often forget to cancel them if they need to) and if I were you I wouldn't add anything else.

I know money isnt the real issue, but we need to cover all bases.

I got a newborn and medical bills coming. I will give what I can by September 1st, but I can't fulfill my whole pledge amount on this ridiculous and abrupt deadline.

I just paid half.

I can't pay my first full year right now. I did however set up monthly automatic payments so that my full pledge will be paid within 2.5 years instead of 5. If they don't accept that as a firm commitment to my legally-binding pledge then I give up.
