Long Snapper Trick Shots From the Top of the Glass Bowl
From Dan Savage's twitter account. This can't be real, can it?

RE: Long Snapper Trick Shots From the Top of the Glass Bowl
I"m not real fond of heights, and that may me a little queasy watching the player run to the edge of the roof to watch it. Seems strange they do not have railing around the rooftop if they are going to allow that access to it. Unless there is a drop down to another level - which may be the case. If not, then their insurance rates are probably going up.....insured by Savage and Associates?? lol

nope....just looked at it again and it is a straight drop from the edge of the roof. Can see where the cameraman is at. That is scary. Just a little trip and fall while trying to catch their balance, and .....not good

As they say in Airborne School, "it's not the fall that kills you"... rather it is the "sudden stop".

When my brother was at Carson-Newman College in Tennessee. They had the punters work on hang time by having one stand on the field and the other outside the stadium and punt to each other over the press box.

I'm guessing the press box at Carson Newman was about 10 feet above the top row of the bleachers - which was probably 7 rows from the field...... 03-wink

no, you would guess wrong.
the press box height is comparable to Whitmer's, maybe higher.
The Eagles won a number of NAIA National Championships in the '80's and had 15 to 20 Division I transfers. The 1988 team had 3 guys play in the NFL for a number of years. They draw 4,000 to 6,000 for a home game. They now play in NCAA Division II.
