Saw the story the other day about Cal being the usual prick and telling a coach he can take any player he wants from him. Now the rumor is the coach was Cronin.

It was regarding Teague. Lots of rumors about Teague's older less talented brother getting a ridiculous shoe deal from Nike then Teague signed with UK a couple days later.

Dunno. Perhaps the 2 dickhead idiot UC fans at the Pitt game at The Shoe in January of 2010 sitting at half court with the 6 foot "Fire Cronin" banner chanting all game long...right across from Eastside, myself, Teague and his family on his official visit had something to do with it rather than Cal.

This fanbase bred assclowns back then. Most of them thankfully went into the witness protection program. Hopefully terminally.

Jeff Teague is way better than Marquis. He also got his new deal from Nike in November (while he was a bench warmer in the NBA, so I totally believe Calipari had a lot to do with it). Marquis didn't sign until the spring, so I don't know how much it had to do with Marquis' decision. Also, Louisville feels more spurned than we do on this one.

There is no way this story went like Parrish described with Mick though. Mick would have thrown down before letting Calipari just talk all over him.

Well to be fair, Cal did get caught twice.......guess the truth hurts.

Gary Parrish is in love with Calipari. Don't trust anything he says.

Teague was almost solidly considered to be going to Louisville by almost all scouting services even a day or two prior to his committing to UK. Rumors were floated that WorldWideWes reached out and asked both LeBron and Drake to call him the day before to try and persuade him to go to UK. Both were commonly around UK games and practices at that time so who knows. I probably should not be engaging in this conversation though. lol

I'll trade for what UK has going any day and twice on Sunday's. UC is battling to make the tourney and hopefully we get lucky and make a run. UK is battling for final fours and national titles every year. Cal being a cheater or not, I'd rather have what they have.

I'd love another final 4 or even championship just as much as anyone. But I also enjoy watching players grow (Kenyon, Logan, Hicks, SK) over shuttling in a new roster every year like a hockey line change.

And I definitely don't want UC fans to turn into pompous self indulgent douchebags like UK fans.

I've seen one of those guys around town. Think I saw him at the Shootout last year. What a jacka$$.

With respects to the first paragraph I am sure there is a happy medium. We could still be a program that develops its programs and still be players deep in the NCAAT's (see Wisconsin).

Completely agree. I'd much rather have ULs last four years than Kentucky's. Both have titles and final 4s but UL gets to know their players and watch them develop.

If Drake called me, I'd do the opposite of whatever he advised.

If Cal was our coach I wouldn't root for the team until he left. He is a lowlife cheater. I'd rather go 0-30 than "win" a title with his methods.
