Temple vs Houston AAC Championship
Interesting take... I realize other AAC fans probably will not agree... He has Temple beating Penn State.... And picks Temple & UH because they play their toughest AAC games at home.

Temple projected to finish 1st in East. Houston 1st in west.

...My model predicts Temple to beat Penn State 16-10 in a defensive struggle. However, Temple benefits from the home field advantage calculated into that prediction. The only advantage Temple will have in that game is playing on their "home field", but I guarantee there will be more Penn State fans than Temple fans at Lincoln Financial Field for that game so the crowd will be pro-Penn State. I ran the prediction assuming a neutral field and the result was Penn State 16, Temple 10. Either way, this will be a defensive struggle with two good defenses against two shaky offenses. Bet the under, if anything.

...Houston is the #4 team in the league based on national ranking, but they get the 3 toughest teams all at home. This is why they are picked to win the league - they have the most favorable schedule.

Projected AAC Standings*
East Division
Temple 11-2 (7-1)
Cincinnati 8-4 (5-3)
UCF 8-4 (6-2)
East Carolina 6-6 (5-3)
South Florida 4-8 (2-6)
Connecticut 1-11 (0-8)

West Division
Houston 11-2 (7-1)
Memphis 9-3 (6-2)
Navy 9-3 (6-2)
Tulane 4-8 (3-5)
Tulsa 3-9 (1-7)
SMU 1-11 (0-8)

Championship Game
Houston 25, Temple 22

If Gunner Kiel stays healthy and Cincinnati loses 3 AAC games, I'll eat my underwear and upload a video of it to YouTube for all the board to see.

If SMU goes 0-8 under chad morris in this league i will eat my hat and put it on the internet.

This writer is a dolt. Cincinnati will win their division. Temple will be crushed by Penn state.

I do think Houston will win theirs. I will guess SMU wins three conference games and 2 non conference.

Then look out in 2016. This thing is getting fixed fast.

I could see both Temple and Houston winning their divisions. I think the won loss totals are off though.

From the moment I saw the schedule I picked Temple over Penn State. I hope I am correct.

I hope you're correct too. We're due for one over State Penn that's for sure and we desperately need marquee OOC in this conference.

Too much talk about my Owls. They need to show it on the field.

Let's see the offensive line be better, PJ Walker bounce back, the kicking game improve, and the defense be consistently good regardless of opponent. All possible, maybe even likely. But they have to prove it.

We'll get crushed huh....I guess you'd know all about that considering 8 of your opponents hung 40+ points on you last year

There's a good chance SMU is crushed by their entire schedule.

This guy has Temple beating PSU and Notre Dame.

Because UC fans are all over this board protesting how good we are, at every turn, right????

We tend to let our team prove things on the field or the court.

Nice try, please play again.

Hell every team in this league can potentially win their division and then win the AAC Title game.

So I dont have a problem with this... Like the Cicny fan said above lets let the teams prove it on the field game by game....

VERY interesting take and I hope my Owls live up to it. By the way, the last Temple-PSU game at the Linc was split 50/50 in terms of fan support and may have even been 55/45 in favor of the Owls.

He's got UCF going 8-4 with losses @Stanford, @South Carolina, @Temple, and @Cincinnati. I expect to lose to Stanford and I see the other three as close games that we could definitely lose if things don't go our way.

This is somewhat of a rebuilding year for UCF and we bring back almost everyone for 2016. If we can finish 9-4 with a Miami Bowl win then I'll be content and looking at 2016 as a potential Access Bowl season.
