USF-UCF Thanksgiving Night

If true, that's a big, red "NO!" for me going this year.

Like it could be like the old Texas - AM Thansgiving night games. People will watch after their Thanksgiving dinner and now I can also go to the basketball game vs UK

So Thanksgiving Day on ESPN will be Big 12 Rivalry Day

Texas vs Texas Tech

USF vs UCF

Well that's probably gonna hurt the attendance. This sucks, I can't go now. I'll be visiting family out of town and was previously planning on driving back Friday to be at the game

Thanksgiving Night Primetime:
NBC = Packers vs Bears
Fox = Texas vs Texas Tech
ESPN = UCF vs USF

Well, I was looking forward to going to this game. Guess I'll have to settle for watching it on TV.

Granted, when ESPN snaps we jump. I wonder if we will be able to compete in ratings. I mean, if UCF/USF wanted a measuring stick against Big12 ratings. Thanksgiving Primetime is a pretty good equalizer.

Here's to hoping UCF and USF are both undefeated going into Thanksgiving.

Texas Tech @ Texas is slated for Fox Sports 1, not Fox.

USF @ UCF should do well on ESPN that night.

Our game will do fine. College fans won't have many options and Fox Sports 1 is a black hole.

The AAC continues to be ESPN's sacrificial time slot lambs.

usf and ucf fans complaining about attendance dont realize HOW BIG this is especially for branding

prime time ESPN on a holiday known for watching sports..

this will be atleast 2million viewers ... and those are weak estimates

no one is looking for ttech or texas on "fs1", besides people in texas, i doubt either will be in the title race ...and not everyone is into the nfl

this is HUGE for the brands of both ucf and usf as individuals and legitimatizing the rivalry nationally beyond ucf/usf fans ...
its is also big for the aac, it shows espn sees value in us, it also drastically increases the value of the ucf/usf game

but this source doesnt say which "espn" which is kinda disheartening.. espnu isnt impressing anyone

I'll flip it over there after the Carolina/Dallas game.

A person can only digest so much turkey in one night,seriously if I watch any football it'll be AAC football or nothing.

It will be on the main ESPN. There is nothing else that night that ESPN has a contract to show that is better than this game. Nfl and Texas are different channels.

As far as the reasoning behind this.......according to the Orlando sentinel, espn informed the AAC that they were going to have to move the game to 12 noon on Friday or "possibly earlier" whatever that means.

I won't complain about a game on actual espn, it's a boost, hopefully usf and usf are both 1 or 2 loss teams so we can take advantage of it

Yes it's going yo be on ESPN because they didn't have a game scheduled for that day. Hopefully both teams will be doing well and the game would have an impact on who the East champ would be.

I agree we need to build the value of this game to become a rivalry known nationally . I remember when FSU vs Miami was a meaningless game vs two teams with losing records

Auburn and alabama played on thanksgiving for years. It's a great day for a rivalry game. Somehow the tittie babies in this board find a way to whine about everything

id honestly put houston on primetime thanksgiving night while ucf "enjoys their thanks giving"

this will be one of the highest rated AAC games next year by default because of the channel and time slot....
ucf/usf fans are complaining about something that is actually amazing for their brands
