Maybe it's more of a sign of the current era of college basketball, but if I read that chart correct we have 3 seniors on the roster and 8 players who would have joined them as seniors if they had not transferred. That translates to 72% of Monty's recruits not lasting four years. Hard to build continuity with that much turnover.

Did you look at the names who transferred that would be seniors? None of those players really amounted to much in their times here and they would not play on this upcoming team anyways.

Sam Mader, Akeem Springs and Mike Davis all wanted more playing time. Monty did not want them to leave but some kids want to start right away. 40% of freshman will transfer after their freshman year. Also, when you are losing every game it's hard to stay around.
