Cards lose the second game of the night to the PR national team 89-81

We're Hurtin" ! But it is only August.

This games are glorified practice games. Much like preseason NFL games. Gives Rick the chance to see what will work and won't work.

There are a lot of key newcomers to the team, this was about building chemistry. Overall I think it was a positive trip.

What are you guys thoughts on the JV team idea? I never knew this was an option. I like the idea of our end of the bench guys getting some extra action.

I think they had to do it since they were playing 2 different teams in a double hitter so I liked it for a few games but I thought it was better for them to play as a team. With all the newcomers they need to learn each other's style & learn to play together. Since everyone did get a chance to play I think it was a positive trip & should have them better prepared for the start of the season. One of the positives that came from the JV team was Spalding, he might not have gotten as much playing time otherwise.

There is talk that we are fielding a HV team this season. Apparently you can play a ten game schedule. I think I heard UNC does this

With all of the fr. & so the Cards have it maybe a good idea.
