I agree with the sentiments here, but let's level-set a bit....
McDAA Dedric Lawson was originally in the 2016 class
Top 100 Nick Marshall was as well
they both reclassed to 2015
Nick Marshall is the next Big City
The Lawsons aren't program savers either
never said they were, TT
just saying that those two are decent recruits who came in a year early, that's all

Our program doesn't attract the top national recruits as it once did.
We are well positioned for quality grad transfers.
You don't build a program on grad transfers and 3 stars, sadly.

RE: Parrish and Calkins were talking about this year's BB recruiting class
sPaz has killed this program. This is so sad. We're paying an idiot 2.6 million bucks a year to tank this magnificent storied program. I could eat nails right now i'm so pissed.
Long ago I remember a friend of mine coining a phrase that went...... "he's like a bad penny, ya can't get rid of it". Josh is our bad penny, and we're stuck with Homie for two more years.
It will take years to right the ship........if ever.

I don't know....one good afternoon's cleanup of the user id database would probably fix it.

While I understand the sentiment, I will say that Gregg Marshall has done a fine job at both Winthrop and Wichita State with nothing but 2-3 stars, JC transfers and this year he even took a grad transfer from Cleveland State.

No, people just make fun of you for being low class.

I've been saying this for months. Posted multiple threads on the subject.
Recruiting is tredning the wrong direction, has been for going on 3 years now.

The first thing the next coach does is retain coach Lawson.

Paz coaches this year and then gets canned.
New guy comes in and we stink in year 1, are NIT in year 2, NCAA in year 3 and then explode onto the scene as a playa in year 4.
The above is the best case scenario and that's FIVE years out counting this season.
Worst case is Paz's buyout keeps him around for next year which would possibly add a year to the rebuilding job so it could be EIGHT years counting this season before we're 'back'
If Pastner is such a **** coach and anyone could do better; why would it take the new coach 3 years to make the NCAA? Funny and sad.

Comparing Pastner and Marshall is like comparing apples and oranges. Hell, not even oranges. Apples and a 1/2 gallon of milk that's 4 days past expiration.

Not arguing, just saying it can be done with "less".
There is not just one "correct" way to build a winning program.

It took Cal years to overcome the mess left to him and now he's the best in the business. Josh has had 6 years with continual regression. The program is a dumpster fire and will take time to rebrand it

This is what happens when you combine breathing at high altitude with a pure hatred of Pastner. By continual regression, do you mean pure improvement his first 4 years, a flat 5th season, and a bad season last year? Is that how someone like you defines continual regression?
Also, according to the other sheep, the program is in much better shape now than it ever has been with respect to facilities and donations. If this is true, whoever replaces Pastner should do much better than him out of the gate. Last but not least, have a look at what each coach would start with and how many years of eligibility they would have left.
Pastner
1 - Mack
1 - Kemp
2 - Sallie
2 - Niles
2 - Coleman
Replacement
2 - Markel
2 - Woodson
3 - Lawson
3 - Lawson
3 - Martin
3 - Broddie
3 - Marshall
Did I mention anywhere that when Pastner leaves, the program won't be under any sanctions, nor will it be threatened with future sanctions? Pastner will leave the program in much better shape than Cal did.
