Never were in Sunbelt, we had some Olympic sports there but so what CUSA had some Power 5 schools as affiliate members and we don't go claiming them; our women's bowling is in the SWAC. Tech specifically did not support or join SBC for football when they added it because our admin saw it for the small time conference it was.

And the Sunbelt never let us forget it, either. Talk about BITTER feelings....that's where is all began.

For you guys unfamiliar with the source of the hard feelings between LA Tech and ULALA (and ULM to a lesser degree), it all goes back to the day LA Tech jilted the Sunbelt to join the WAC. Many members of the Sunbelt football conference (especially, ULALA and ASU) were very upset with LA Tech for joining the WAC instead of joining the Sunbelt "like everybody else" in the region. It's very similar to Marshall's relationship with the MAC conference.

With the recent completion of our $22M football field House, LA Tech now has a great football stadium and a great basketball arena. Does that piss you off or something?
