I hate soccer unless it is played by women, who actually play without constant flopping like the sissy boys.

Yep, because football teams never fake an injury to change the pace of play against spread teams...
Though I already dropped my Bearcat tickets for season tickets to the Crew.
Arent professional basketball players some of the worst in all of sports about flopping?
These guys who spit the same old lines are so blinded by their own hatred for something different than theyre used to that they are incapable of understanding anything.
Since he mentioned "sissies", id like to see Mr. WARONCHRISTMAS' old "pretend i have money on the internets because it makes me feel important" a$$ doing suicides for 90 minutes without heaving like a little b!tch.
Got a little fired up there... feeling extra sassy today. Back to FCC. Glad to know theyre frontin the bill for the renovations. I look forward to attending some of their games, should be a fun time, even though their signage will make Nippert UNRECOGNIZABLE!!!

I'm not sure that this is a "renovation" so much as it is a modification to accommodate soccer. Modifying the visiting locker room may or may not benefit UC, I'm not sure. But the reason it is being done is to accommodate soccer and it appears any side benefits to UC from this will be coincidental.
The devil is in the details, so I look forward to more information as it comes forward. I'm kind of surprised no local journalist/reporter has poked into this arrangement. I know I'm in the distinct minority on this, but I think too little has been divulged.

Everyone, except Lindner, who funded the renovation by buying Clubs and Suites did so because of FOOTBALL not to bastardize it for Footsieball.

FC Cincinnati will also be using the practice bubble. I'm much less familiar with that facility, but I get the impression that the field is not as large as Nippert's. Is it large enough to be a soccer field? I thought the bubble came down in warm weather. Will Sheakley be lined for soccer?

It is a bit smaller, but for practice, I don't think it is necessary to have an entire field and it could be made to work.
The bubble usually goes up in mid October to mid November. It takes 4 days to put up, so it will stay up till early April, then it comes down for the summer months.

How is turning a visitors locker room into a professional level worthy locker room not a renovation? It sounds like an improvement to me. I dont know what it looks like now, nor will i probably know what it looks like after. The thing is, if visitors, both soccer and football teams, come in and are impressed with our digs, then whats the problem? The more positive opinions, the better.
And whats wrong with accommodating soccer? The stadium isnt getting demolished and rebuilt. Its having a couple touch ups done, some visible to the fans, some not. Its still going to be Nippert at the end of the day. Not to mention FCC is paying us to be here on our campus, plus will potentially bring thousands to our beautiful campus who otherwise might not have. Which some will also spill out to the local economy, namely the restaurants on Calhoun and McMillan. I honestly dont see where we come out on the short end of this deal in any way.

I guess I don't care what the visiting team thinks of our locker rooms; it's the home team that should made to feel at home. I don't mind the visiting team feeling a bit uncomfortable (within reason).
If they were doing the home team locker room, I'd be like, "Hey, awesome!"

I'd wish they renovate both if they are going to do one. If the home FC team uses the visitors, does that mean the visiting FC team uses the home?

According to the article the purpose of renovating the visiting football teams room under the north side, for FC Cincinnati,
is so that is not anything disruptive to UC football......like using their real locker room. So no a visiting soccer team won't be using UC's real locker room.

Would anyone care or notice if UC Varsity Men's or Women's soccer used Nippert with removable sideline paint? No.

No, I'm saying I don't really care what they're doing to the visiting locker room. As I mentioned before, I question the marginal utility of any renovations or modifications to that part of Nippert. But if I were to pick a locker room to renovate, I'd pick the home team's. I dunno, that makes sense to me; however, I understand why they're dressing up the visiting locker room. It also would be weird if the visiting locker room is nicer than the home locker room, but I suspect the changes aren't going to be luxurious, just nicer...and newer. This is minor league soccer we're talking about here, so I'm not expecting any type of major windfall for the athletic department. So far this endeavor smells more like an accommodation than anything else.
*throws hands up in air* Ok, I give up, too.
