The butthurt is strong in this thread. Marshall has a lot of haters right now and a few of our fans are feeding them.

1st of all he wasn't "convicted violence against women" from what I've seen he was charged with disorderly conduct. Also, Doc has a record of giving people who have made mistakes a second chance but once they are a part of the program and understand the rules that a member Marshall University football team must follow he isn't afraid to kick players off the team for breaking rules. I think he does it the right way. I would rather let someone that made a mistake have a second chance in a different environment than have players getting arrested multiple times while on the team and getting very little punishment for it.

You realize Bembry never played a down for Holliday, and was kicked off the team before Doc ever coached a game, right?

Doc gave Bembry a clean slate when he arrived. Bembry couldn't stay out of trouble, so Doc cut him loose.

Doc was hired in December of 2009...the 2010 season was his first as coach. Bembry was dismissed in July of 2010.

According to the article, he was arrested several time before Doc got there, was arrested with another player while Doc was there, booted the player then messed up again. I was impressed by Doc's approach to this problem.

You recently kicked out your RB BEFORE his trial and took a guy AFTER conviction. This goes counter to your coach's previous actions and your president's statement on the RB. To pretend that this is anything more than making an exception because of the guy's talent is sad.

i can see why a marshall fan would be terrified of leon allen still being on the team after a couple of minor mishaps. cause he busted that ass in huntington last year.

This is going to hurt. It's numbers, so it might be hard for you. Here's a breakdown: Marshall has much higher attendance than WKU. Marshall fills a larger proportion of their bigger stadium than WKU. Marshall had a higher increase in fans over WKU last year.

Western fans know we need to increase attendance and nothing you can point out will change that. But that has zero to do with Marshall spending millions of dollars adding seats....

that are only filled once every few years by West Virgina fans.

Again that money could have been put to better use.

Now here's a couple facts for you...

Western can always add seats if they are needed

Marshall's football stadium will always look like crap because of adding seats that were not needed

But in the end none of that has anything to do with this topic that was changed by "Mr I will put you on my Ignore list"

Honestly who does that on a message board? I will tell you..a fan that thinks too much of their own opinions. Or a little fruit cake.

The only seats that have been added in recent years was the addition of even more luxury boxes and those are filled and have a decade long waiting list to go along with the other wait lists for the previous boxes.

Marshall can add another deck if it is ever needed.
