8-10 wins. It would be hard to get as many good bounces as last year.

After all the years of the ball "never" bouncing our way, the football gods showed us some favor last year. We got more than our fair share. I see 2-3 loss regular season.

That's a ridiculous comment.

I don't see games like the one against Houston or UCLA happening again this year. I see us getting 10 regular season wins, no doubt.

JF is a straight shooter and he said the defense was probably more productive than the offense based on spring results. Either the offense lags (seems doubtful) or our defense is good.

Any all conference HS football player could have made our roster four years ago, it is a near miracle that we have a shot at a winning season,

^This... 6 wins and a bowl, and I'm calling this season a success. we are only 2 years removed from a 3 win season. Tiger fans being tiger fans... just like every year in basketball (except this one) we are headed to the Sweet 16 until we get blown out by a top 25 team in the first month of the season.

Lets try to reign in those expectations a little bit folks. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

I agree JF is calling it like he sees it, I just don't think him saying positive things about our defense means people should be talking about making the playoffs. It would be possible for the team to play well, be coached well, show progress, and NOT have it show up in the win column this year. I'm just hoping our fans realize that what Coach is building is long term and don't get discouraged if there are a few setbacks along the way.

We only have two or three good teams scheduled , but you never know, Ole Miss could have another fluke season and a win over them could count for something making it 3 or 4 good teams..

I think people are swinging from probably underestimating what we'd have on defense by a little, to probably overestimating what we're likely to have by a little.

Seven wins really is going to be a bit of a let down this year (but not a full blown crisis or anything). We really ought to win at least 8 games, maybe one or two more. Zero or one losses is pretty unlikely and still a little ambitious, but it's also not totally impossible or anything. We ought to at least be capable of beating everyone on the schedule, even if we won't necessarily be favored.

Absolutely agree. Some of the expectations here are over the top. We have a great coach and more positive momentum than we have in years.
