Hate to break it to you but Florida and VT were already uphill battles for you this year.

Nah, we pretty much have VT handled.

Florida, I agree with.

By the way, I in no way understand the arrogance coming out of Temple this year. Wow. You'd better live up to the hype.

What arrogance? I said Florida and VT would be uphill battles. What exactly does that have to do with Temple?

Battles yes, uphill no. Fl was probably a L given it was at the swamp, but VT would have been another close game like its been the past few years.

ECU is 13-6 all time vs VT, lost 4 of the last 5, 8 of the last 10 and no matter who started will be breaking in a new QB.......and some people say Tulane fans are delusional.

Wins over semi decent P5 schools are always uphill battles which is why year in and year out the P5 dominate these games and the G5 do not chalk up many wins.

With that said the ECU vs VT games have been pretty tight for the last several years especially in Greenville. I expect this year to be no different no matter who the QB is. Florida will want to run on us like the Bowl game and we are actually pretty good at stopping the run so if we had a strong QB I would not feel confident about a win in the Swamp but I would not be shocked if we were in a position to win late in the game.

Did you bother to look at the final scores of those games?

'14 ECU upsets #17 VT by 7
'13 VT wins by 5
'11 #11 VT wins by 7
'10 VT wins by 22 after a third quarter rally to come back against ECU.
'09 #24 VT wins by 13
'08 ECU beats #24 VT by 5
'07 ECU loses to #9 VT by 10....

It's typically a fairly close, low scoring game. Each team is always in it until the end....

The OP said "Nah, we pretty much have VT handled" which is absurd. I wouldn't argue that ECU can beat VT anytime home or away, but his quote was bonkers. That's all I am saying.

Again, sorry for the loss, sucks big time.

Looks like our 4 or 5 running backs become important.
