The 2 time defensive National player of the year was the real deal, and App has had some great defensive players such as Larry Hand and Dino Hackett to name a few.

Just to be clear, it's 616 total tackles. Only 350 solo. And I'd have to agree with Saint, Coakley is the gold standard (and I'm 28) because of the combination of college and pro accomplishments. I think most would agree that this is our Mount Rushmore:
