uhhh...are you a brand new Louisville fan? Are you a Louisville fan at all??? Louisville was absolutely rotten in the 60's, 70's and 80's...North Texas and Tulsa used to dominate you guys...how do you not know that Louisville was dreadful until the 90's??

I have been around for the good and the very bad. But we still have more wins than Ecu over the last 50 years. If you don't believe me just check the facts. http://www.cfbdatawarehouse.com/data/act...totals.php

The chart is not up to date. Trust me 05-stirthepot

Well the chart doesn't go by total number of wins, just winning % so Louisville's .521 doesn't make the top 50

yeah, Louisville is 6-4 vs ECU. ECU/Louisville series was a result of CUSA football forming when for the first time (90's) Louisville was good...and ECU was going through a tough time after a great couple of decades. I'll give you that though, 6-4. Louisville rarely had winning football seasons until Howard took over in the early 90's. Overall,Cincinnati has a winning record vs Louisville, as does Tulsa, North Texas, Wyoming, Colorado St etc. (non "p5" schools) Louisville is not a top 40 football program, and until 1990, wasn't even a top 90 program. Louisville basketball was great, football was bad enough for the program to be nearly dropped before the miracle Howard S. pulled off. Cheers!

I was going by winning %, so Lousiville is .5547 (W- 314 L-252) and ECU is .5413 (W-308 L-261). Like I said, the chart is wrong.

and BYU is #14....over the past 50. I guess the stats are always made to make our schools look better. 75 years? 100 years of football? Where do we all rank in those categories? Cheers!

This information could be very helpful in landing top recruits... If those recruits were 50 years old.

Nope, you are nowhere even close to being good enough to be in our league so go back to your stupid Crap-USA board and let the adults talk.

Winningest Programs Last 50 Years
That reflects well on Southern Miss, but for all intents and purposes they were essentially what FCS is today. Not saying they never played a good program, but it's not as if they were in the SEC or SWC or PAC 8. I'm not sure about East Carolina's history. Houston entered the SWC in '76 and competed in that conference for 20 years, winning four SWC titles, as many as Texas during that time frame. Before that UH was an independent for roughly 15 years and played mostly SEC teams, SWC teams until the mid-60s and schools like Florida State, Miami, Tulsa, NC State, VPI, etc. Going back some 55 years, UH was a member of the Missouri Valley Conference for a number of years.

The one for the past 10 years with best conference winning percentage was posted a couple of weeks back. Cincy didn't make that list either while UCF and ECU did.

We've been in the conference ONE year. What we did do was win 2/3 of the P5 games for the conference last year.

Try to not get blown out during your next one.

Well we did beat VaTech at their place last year who blew your a%^ out in the bowl game....

Seen several Cincy fans complain about being in this league, if you want the league to look better how about try doing better than 1-5 against the P5 the last two years.

RE: Winningest Programs Last 50 Years
Except for one impressive season in 1990, very little separated the Louisville, Cincinnati and Memphis football programs until Louisville separated from the pack after Jurich arrived on campus.

It's very likely that Memphis was historically the better program through the 50's, 60's and 70's.

The impressive football growth and success that Louisville has had over the last 20 years has always given me hope that Memphis football is a sleeping giant. However, it takes winning to build a program. No matter how nice Papa John is, they would have never needed to expand it if the Cards weren't winning football games and going to bowl games.

Unless we lose early, I think a lot of folks will be surprised at the crowds Memphis draws to the Liberty Bowl this season.

I swear, if a team was named after its fanbase you'd be cheering for the ECU Napoleonic Complex. Yeah, ECU beat VaTech but lost to UC, so don't puff your chest out too far. And as to the conference griping, I'm sure plenty of ECU fans complained about C-USA over the years. Get over it.
