I'm more of a basketball guy and was wondering what you guys think our record will be in Football this year? I'm especially curious to hear from guys who know football well.

8-4 seems to be the standard. It could be anywhere from 6-6 to 11-1, depending on who you ask, though.

Sorry if this is dumb, more of hoops guy, but do you really think Houston is better than us? I hope not because my son-n-law is a huge Houston fan and I would hate to hear crap from him.

USF = Likely Win
Ole Miss = Likely loss
@Tulsa = Win
Tulane = Win
Navy = 60/40 odds of winning
@Houston = 55/45 odds of losing on the road
@Temple = 50/50 on the road
SMU = Win

So, best case = 11-1
Worst case = 6-6
Most likely = 9-3, give or take a game

The best case would be 14-0 unless I'm bad at math

You're bad at math. Best case would be 15-0 (12-0 + CCG + NSF + NCG).

And worst case would be 0-12.

I agree until 12-0 would get us in the playoff our SOS wont allow that

We have beat the crap out of Houston and lost the past two years to them because of turnovera .... I think the problem gets fixed this year. 11-1 with a wtf loss to Temple

That's a question no one around here will be able to answer. There are a lot of variables regarding Big XII expanding. We could go 15-0 and not get in (depending on circumstances). Or, we could go 8-4 and get in (depending on other circumstances).
