RE: Hello, Florida State - Goodbye Championships (article)
I wondered how it would look if you did the same thing with USC and the Pac-12 or Ohio State and the Big Ten or Oklahoma and the Big XII, so I looked it up...

Pac-12: from 1968-1985, USC won at least a share of 15 championships; from 2002-08 the Trojans won at least a share of all 7.

Big Ten: since 1993, Ohio State has won at least a share of 10 Big Ten championships.

Big XII: since just 2000, Oklahoma has won 7 championships in 15 years.

The SEC is a little more balanced. Alabama won 8 of 9 from 1971-1979; from 1991-96 Florida won 6 of 7; from 1997-2008 the league was up for grabs, but since 2009 Alabama won half of the championships.

In other words, while FSU has dominated the ACC more that USC, Ohio State or Oklahoma have dominated their conferences, it isn't like those others haven't been owned, too.

If FSU is the Ohio State of the ACC then VT is the Michigan State.

one of your Heisman's is a rapist fool who can't speak English even though he was at a college. Another Weinke was like 30 years old when he was at FSU which is bit of a cheat.
Clemson has had several Heisman contenders, WOody Dantzler, Sammy Watkins, Tajh Boyd, CJ Spiller, and now Deshuan Watson. It is hard to believe Charlie Ward was better at his position than the Clemson players I just mentioned. lol He got rewarded for being on a good a better team.

FSU only gone 6-6 against Clemson in last 12 seasons. You can talk about 1990s all you want but like I said, Clemson dropped off that decade, FSU wasn't beating 1980's era Clemson when Clem was a top 10 program. Just because FSU was dominanting in 90's doesn't mean they are now. And the ACC had less teams back then.

FSU had 3 good seasons in a row with NFL QBs, and stacked defenses the first two years of that. Most of those players are gone now.

UGA stole the DC that had FSU so good on defense Winston's first year.

Okay ...... now remove all National Championships that don't pay the bills (only men's basketball and football). And don't get all Cavman up in here by not counting a football title as a National Championship.

I'm assuming you're referring to UF, and if so, I'm curious what the head to head record is the last quarter century, the number of bowls played and bowl winning %, number of ranked and top 10 finishes, and how many national titles and Heisman winners each school has claimed in that period.

If you want, you can include all Florida FBS schools as well as ND and all ACC schools. Let me know if Cuse even finishes in the top 67th percentile. I think it will be close.

UF is the state Flagship...that is what I meant.

If you're trying to rile me up and get under my skin you have to do better than that.

Here's a hint: Try to make your weak smack attempt relevant to the discussion at hand. If you can't do that, go back to wanking it to 1990's film of McNabb, Freeney and possible murder Marvin Harrison.

Dude you started this D!ck Waving contest thread and are looking like a 12 year old or a major league douche (take your pick)...yeah FSU! we are great!...so go to WalMart and get your T-shirt and watch the games this Fall in your apartment. I'm sure you will help them immensely with your fan boy cheering.

FSU's last title came aagainst an Auburn team that had some incredible luck on two last minute plays in the regular seasons to pull out those wins. Auburn was basically a 3 loss team playing in the title game.

One of my best ACC memories is Wake beating FSU once or twice. The look on Bobby Bowden's face. lol

Since the Ville defeated your league champion in both 2002 and 2006 I think we deserve an asterisk. Should have defeated your coastal champ and runner up in 2005 but lost our starting QB before the bowl game and had to play a true frosh with no game experience. That being said I am living in the real world. We're never gonna be a 15 time champion of the ACC. You are what your record says you are. Bottom line. Just glad to be here getting put in our place.

Red. Everybody knows ul came ready to play. So did vt when they joined (even though there's no chance ul has that same success their first ~7 years like vt did).

Clemson is in a great spot now but obvi didn't do jack the first ~20 years FSU was in the league. And the nc/va schools are downright laughably pathetic.

Why a cuse fan has gone all bloody bunghole is beyond me. But it's obvi why a unc fan is touting their women's soccer national championships as a defense of their amateurish football.

And there's a reason why gts question of non-football/basketball national championships was ignited by tobacco road.

Clemson didn't do jack is basically they didn't beat FSU, or win the ACC, part because they didn't win FSU.

the funny thing about FSU fans is they simultaneously say the ACC sucks while gloating about all their wins in it. Why gloat about wins if they were cupcake opponents?

nothing has ever forced FSU to stay in the conference but obviously other power conferences aren't interested in FSU.

What was FSU doing prior to Bobby Bowden? It is my understanding they weren't a good program. They weren't doing much prior to Winston playing QB. He's gone now.

FSU has to talk about 1990s because you can't talk about the past 12 years when Clemson has gone 6-6 against FSU. if you didn't have a no.1 draft pick QB, it is possible the record would be 8-4 Clemson.

Even with (soon to be) 7 teams in North Carolina, I'd have to take FSU on that bet. All they have to do is get hot in the tournament and they can win. The North Carolina schools will probably never even make the CFP.

Push.

Both events have been described in great detail in the end-of-the-age prophecy contained in the book of Revelations.

Miami made it to, what, the Elite 8 just 2 years ago? I'm sure FSU will eventually win a national championship in basketball, but I'm not convinced that anyone from North Carolina will even win an ACC championship, much less a national one... and the G5 teams won't sniff the playoffs.
