Wait you can retake the ACT after you are enrolled
5-star Tennessee signee must retake ACT before practicing

Maybe Rose can retake the SAT and we can get our season back. They do seem to make up new rules.

So, is a scheduled test available this time of year?
Or does he get a "special"?

Rose took his test, but it was the other guy's tested that was turned into ACT by the proctor.

No kidding. It was the SAT not the ACT that Rose took.

Irregardless (as we say in the English department), rose was cleared to play twice by the ncaa clearinghouse. What was cal supposed to do-not play him just in case?

Sorry if that seemed harsh. That wound still seeps from time to time.

Sounds like he has to wait until September to take it, and then wait for the score to come back.

Maybe if Rose had responded to either of the two ETS letters, all he would've had to do would be to retake the SAT after his was "red-flagged." The differences in these two cases are (1) UTK's 5-star recruit's test was "red-flagged" within weeks, not months, and (2) when it was, both coach and player at UTK still gave a *$%#@ about their school.

You are not including a key point . Rose was CLEARED by the NCAA prior to his enrollment. Yet, you and other trolls love calling us cheaters.

Not really, it doesn't matter as we all know. This is the only way that makes sense, regardless, of what the actual test was ACT or SAT. Does anybody truly believe that Calipari didn't know about it? Or that Rose passed the test? If I didn't I have anything to hide, I would be raising hell. Otherwise, I would just lie low and let it pass.

Would have been nice if the letters would have been sent to an address where Rose actually still lived.

And a banner in the closet.

The best we can ask for is that the rules be applied equally to all member institutions.

Unfortunately, we are not a member of one of the institutions. We will probably never be a member, but I sure hope I'm wrong. We are on the outside looking into the P5 conferences.

I am sure all those Kentucky players are such better students than Derrick Rose.

The Kentucky players under Calipari are much better students and test takers than Rose, that is why all their record count.

Cousins > Rose

Davis > Rose

HJSJDSJDJ > Rose

All of the Wildcats studied much harder than Rose ....

Since the second one came (to his home address in Chicago) about a week after the title game, he probably was living there at the time. I doubt he was worried enough about finishing his semester at the UofM to stick around for it, being the projected top draft pick and all.

RE: Wait you can retake the ACT after you are enrolled
The NCAA looked into testing differences after the SAT came in so much higher than the ACT. They could find no proof of fraud so Rose was cleared.

A guy (friend?) in prison made the accusation about someone else taking the test for Rose. College board wrote two letters which went unanswered (wrong address?).

After getting no response College Board invalidated the suspect test. Rose was given the opportunity to respond and to retake the test but he only issued one denile without responding to the testing company in the form they requested. All standard actions by both ACT and SAT. I didn't back then but now do serve on the state ACT Advisory Board.

Only after the SAT was invalidated did the NCAA act. Rose didn't respond to them either although I believe he was interviewed.
