Within the last two months there have been three wrestling deaths: Dusty, Piper and "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel.

Landel is the least acclaimed of the three, but I can remember him having a lot of heat in Memphis teaming up with Bill Dundee back in the mid 80s.

One of the more underrated superstars that ever did it. Wrestlers today could learn how to control a mic as well as the ring like some of the old guard. Piper was very good at being a heel of a face.

Oh yeah - underrated sci-fi movie by John Carpenter - done in the 80s so you get what you get with the effects and no CGI and whatnot - but the story was solid and it was what it was for the genre/era.

I love watching it every now and then.

Pipers best "match" ever may have been that LONG fight scene with Keith David.
