1. USC
2. LSU
3. Alabama
4. Tennessee
5. Oregon

Congrats goes out to The SEC for winning this award which just happens to be handed out by folks working for a Network that only owns Tier 1 rights for The SEC. You certainly cant claim they were biased.

Of course, when you have 8 teams rated, there are more possibilities to be labeled overrated than when you have 3 like the B1G. You can always tell the true pecking order in conferences by the criticisms other conferences fans make. ACC people always take potshots at the SEC and B1G because they realize they're clearly behind those two. And B1G people take shots at the SEC for the same reason. Like it or not, the clear and undisputed king of college football is the SEC

For the last decade or so you are absolutely correct but recent bowl seasons would indicate a narrowing of the gap. SEC is still top dog but the vaunted SEC West sure looked pedestrian against other P5 teams in December.

Except for the fact that the King wears a crown. What crown does the SEC have? Kings of propaganda and psychopathic fan followings? Congrats to them I suppose.

Major changes happen over time. People were able to see last year that the same situation would have happened in previous years if we just had the BCS. It would have been Alabama vs Florida State. Neither team made it to the Championship last season.

Sorry, but your historical reference just doesn't hold the weight it used to. We are in a new age of College Football. The SEC can't live off the past. They got to do something besides be overrated and "wear each other down".

I have one, I look at it quite often. Nice stretch of the facts. Three locations....three. Pathetic, you gave away the fact that you are angry.

Well, the top 5 under rated teams of 2014.

1,Boise State
2.Georgia Southern
3.Marshall
4. Memphis
5.Colorado State

Many P5 teams are overrated and many G5 get underrated each year.

Outside of Boise, I've never heard of any of them. I think Marshall is Pitt's instate rivals since PSU won't play lil' nerdy bro.

I can buy that. USC usually gets the love from its name. LSU is a hot pile of mess lately. They have the talent to do well, but Les has to get control of the players and have them focus on da football instead of off the field troubles. Alabama lost a bunch of players; question is how do they reload this season? Tenner is on the rise, but I don't trust a QB that shaves his eyebrows off before every game as the glare coming off of ol' Rocky Top might blur his vision. I don't have a clue about Oregon so no comment.

I will say Urban Meyer has one of the deepest squads in the country coming into the season. How he or his bagmen managed to keep all three QB's in Columbus deserves a poorly run NCAA investigation.

I am not just saying this because you are an Arkansas guy but Arkansas is the team I am watching in the SEC. I don't think folks want you guys to be dominant because you have a Northern coach coming down and installing the Northern way of playing ball at an SEC program. You guys were so close last year. With so many close games against top programs, your record didn't reflect on the quality of the team last year in my opinion.

As far as Ohio State goes? It's like deciding between sharing filet mignon or having your own lesser cut. Both are good decisions but once you have had a taste of that fine cut, it's hard to go down.

It is especially helpful that Jones was considered an NFL prospect after just three starts. Jones and Barrett could split time evenly all year and both have enough stats and looks to both be high draft prospects after the season is over.

Notre Dame is overrated put them in The BIG or SEC and they'd be middle of the pack for that conference.
