Ferentz needs to accept a buyout and/or a promotion to some higher up position at the school. Since Bartz F'd up so badly with that contract, I think he should take on Ferentz as an Assistant Athletic Director so that he has to worry every day about Ferentz basically learning how to take over for Bartz.

Nah, it's all just opinion and doesn't matter. What does matter though is that these preseason polls are carried into the season so it's like watching a horse race where the horses get a staggered start on a straight away.
