Windows 10
Who's updated yet?

I'm still waiting for the install option on my laptop and Surface.

For those who have updated, what are your thoughts on it? How is Cortana on the desktop?

I like it. Cortana is pretty slick, although she doesn't quite have the intuitiveness of Siri or Google Now. It has its own functions, and it's almost seamless with the OS. The OS itself may have hiccups here or there, but it's still smooth; nothing a simple "sfc /scannow" can't fix.

I've been running it since I got the second developer's build, and it's been awesome to watch it grow into what it is now.

Same here. LOVE cortana. If you have WIn 8, there really isn't much of a learning curve. Huge improvement over Win 8 imho. Bigger step from other versions of windows.

I have a surface too, has made it more usable as a tablet for me (when I'm not using it as a pc). I haven't had any issues so far. The upgrade was pretty seamless.

They improved Windows 10 by stripping a lot of the extra BS out of it. THAT was the big improvement.

Agreed, it seems much cleaner and just kind of makes more sense. In Windows 8 and 8.1 I'd often come across small details that made no sense. 10 is a big improvement, although I think tablet mode on the Surface is kind of pointless. I don't think using desktop mode as a tablet is any different than with a keyboard
