Huge news, seems so far away but having these big time games to start the season is awesome. Petrino will have things fulling rocking by then, and of course, Bama is Bama.

Yep, another reason to believe Petrino will be here for the Long Haul. With ACC, He can schedule big games to start the season with.04-cheers

I don't doubt Petrino is at Louisville for the long haul. He's very lucky a program the caliber of Louisville gave him a second chance. I don't see him getting a better offer any where else.

Bobby is a football genius. We are lucky we got him back. Plus is is invest in charity fund raising in Louisville as is his whole famly. Petrino-Louisville is a win win situation. 04-cheers

We took our lumps when we hired him, for sure. But there was no better coach available IMO. I also think it made it easier since he had been here before, he has family here, and had a good relationship with Tom Jurich.

This is the first match-up with Bama since the '91 Fiesta Bowl, can't wait to move the all time series to 2-0!

Saban was in Louisville about a month ago to receive the Blanton Collier Award. He spoke highly of Louisville and Todd Grantham as a DC.
