OT - Padres Tickets
Hiya, P-Funkers. I'm headed home this weekend (LA) for a good month or two--a rarity for me (yay!)--and I'm thinking I'll finally head south to catch a Padres game. Petco is one of the few stadia where I've yet to see a game, and after two decades in LA, I'd like to finally check it off my list. So for you fine folks, two questions:

1) Has anyone ever been and have a recommendation for best section(s) in that park to see a game (perhaps someplace unique to Petco, like that lower left field porch)? Likewise, any SD recs for hidden gem restaurants or hotels, preferably on the water? I've stayed at the Hotel Del Coronado and nowhere else in SD.

2) Does anyone know a Padres season ticket holder who offloads tickets on occasion? I'm looking for two tickets. I've found some on StubHub and Craigslist, but I always prefer personal connections. I care less about opponent and more about a quality game experience. I'm tentatively looking at the Labor Day day game versus the Rockies on 9/7 (but am open to any game through mid-Sept).

Much obliged, Owls framily. I have a sneaking suspicion that you Texas sports fanatics will have better insight on a SoCal venue than any of my entertainment peeps in LA (i.e. not sports folks). Thanks!

Go on Sunday or a holiday for the free parking downtown, but get there early. I sat next to the visitors' dugout last time I was there, and I had a lot of fun.
