Owljacket, the only fat you're going to see on Hackney is the fat stat line after he carves up the Owl secondary. You don't have a clue about DHack.

The only thing that might save you from being passed into submission is Watson Brown's innate conservatism. OTOH, we were unimpressive against Jax State and the whole team is pissed about it. I wouldn't want to be Rice this week.

You sure he'll even play this week? I'll bet he hears that he's playing Rice this week, and when there's not a chinese buffet on the field when he comes out of the tunnel, he'll give up and walk off.

Why do you think that? We've had one game in our last five where we didn't give up 50 points, we're due for another...

That "fat quarterback" that you referred to would slice

and dice a pathetic loser like Rice. At least try to win a

game and show us that your team is worthy of even

being a member of this conference...before flapping

your gums...

Just out of curoisity, there, "Southern" Nights - which school are you a fan of?

Your broken 'enter' key and fondness for the MWC is an obvious give away as some sort of puppet. I'm sorry if my sig made you mad and embarrased.

Okay, no I'm not. MWC smack board is that way ~>

Come on now OwlJacket... youre certainly sticking your neck out there for no reason. What reason could you possibly have to think Rice has very much of a chance against UAB? Why dont you wait until you actually see a good performance by the Owls before you stick your neck out there and set yourself up to take alot of heat if/when UAB pounds Rice?

I think Rice's offense could give UAB SOME problems just because most teams dont run the type of offense Rice does anymore. I dont expect, however, for UAB and Hackney to have ANY trouble scoring on Rice.

UAB- 38
Rice- 17

UAB has historically wiped the field with teams that tried to run option, just blown them to bits. Blazers have outstanding team speed on defense; their problem historically has been dink-and-dunk passing teams like Tulane, La. Tech, Louisville who could get really fast receivers matched up on linebackers.

Normally, I would not expect Rice will find much success at all running the ball if UAB's defensive line was back to full health.
However, Jax State did have a little bit of success with it when UAB was forced to play a lot of young people due to injuries, and that might give Rice some hope. However, in UAB's favor was the open date that 1) let some linemen get well; 2) gave them an extra week to prepare. Larry McSwain and Jermaine McElveen are going to take some heads off Saturday, IMO. Those are two NASTY defensive ends who run like deer.
